Vol.1 OLENO Chit-Chat is starting!

Good evening. Starting today, we will be launching "OLENO Chit-Chat," a channel that will deliver random stories related to OLENO.

This e-newsletter will contain not only information about OLENO products and user interviews, but also behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of our products, the staff's struggles with trail running, an introduction to our town of Koryo in Nara Prefecture, known as the "town of socks," and even some slightly off-topic gourmet information. We plan to send out "little stories" about twice a month that will pique the interest of everyone who has come into contact with OLENO, making them say "Oh, is that so?" or "I want to try that too!", or even make them chuckle.

Today, in our first installment, we'll be introducing the Umami Tulip Fair, which is being held in OLENO's hometown from April 9th to 17th.
About a five-minute drive from our office is the Prefectural Umami Hillside Park, a famous flower spot known only to those in the know.

At this time of year in spring, the vast, well-maintained park stretches about 3km east to west and 7km north to south, and is home to an astounding 650,000 tulips in full bloom, making it the largest in the Kansai region!

During the fair, there will be a food market, sales of local products including socks, street performances, a cycle train, tulip guided tours and plenty of other fun things to do, but this park and the events there are so well-kept secret that many people are unaware of them.

This prefectural park spans both Koryo-cho and the neighboring town of Kawai, so admission is free! There is also free parking for 980 cars.

You can walk along the flower-lined paths under the warm spring sunshine or have your lunch on the grass. The beautiful hills and flower fields are a treasure trove of Instagram photos.

By the way, there are many walking paths in this park, and our company representative, Mr. Inoue, often uses it as a running course! If you live in the Kansai area, please come and visit the Umami Tulip Fair!
