Style with purpose. Performance with heart.

OLENO is a Japanese factory brand where master sock artisans, athletes, and everyday runners create together — refining products through real movement, real terrain, and real stories.

Pursuing new possibilities with 90 years of craftsmanship.

01

A Legacy of Quality.

Founded in 1935, OLENO has spent more than ninety years dedicated to the art of sock making. We refine every detail — from material selection to the final knitting tension — to achieve comfort that feels natural and style that speaks quietly. No compromises. Always one step beyond.

02

Co-Created With Those Who Wear Them.

At OLENO, our users are not just customers — they are collaborators. Feedback from real runners, hikers, and everyday movers shapes every iteration. Together, we build products that evolve with the people who rely on them.

03

Performance Proven by Testing, Not Assumptions.

Every OLENO sock is validated through rigorous testing for comfort, durability, and support. If we claim performance, we can show the numbers to back it up. This is our standard — performance you can trust.
our story
OLENO was born in Koryo, Nara — a small town known as “Japan’s Sock Capital.”

In this compact region, more than forty sock manufacturers stand side by side. Craftsmanship here is not just industry — it is a culture, a tradition passed from hand to hand.

From within this town, our parent factory, Showa Meriyasu Co., Ltd., has been devoted to sock making since 1935. In 2017, we launched OLENO as our own brand — a way to create products that speak directly from the maker to the wearer.

Grounded in decades of technique and curiosity, OLENO now creates items that support the many ways people move, live, and express themselves — both on the trail and in everyday life.
