With long runs in mind, we've improved the water absorption and quick drying performance
At the time, Ultimate TNG was being developed with long runs in mind, even for trail running and road marathons, and we were looking to use its functionality to cover the various issues that arise when running long distances.
The biggest problem I had was that my feet would get sweaty . Regardless of whether I was running or not, I'm sure everyone has had the experience of having a strange smell or the soles of their feet getting soggy when they go to work in the morning and come home at night.
When running long distances, feet tend to become even more sweaty, which is a problem for many runners. However, the newly developed TNG has maximized its moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, significantly reducing foot sweat .
This is a bit technical, but TNG uses a polyester material with a special irregular cross-section , which gives it different performance than the polyester commonly used in conventional socks.
With conventional polyester, moisture does not penetrate the fibers, and the moisture content is close to 0. Therefore, when water or sweat comes into contact with the fabric, it immediately diffuses and evaporates, making it quick-drying, but it has almost no water absorption properties, which causes it to become stuffy .
However, the polyester used this time has a special irregular cross-section, meaning there are areas where moisture cannot get in and areas where it can. Therefore, in addition to the moisture diffusing and evaporating , it is also able to absorb water and sweat well, reducing the humidity inside the socks .
By combining "water absorption" and "quick drying," which are difficult to achieve at the same time, these socks keep your skin dry and comfortable . They are also popular for being very easy to take off. They are sure to be useful as trekking and mountain climbing socks!
Unique 3D design provides outstanding fit
It's not widely known, but the way socks are knitted can greatly affect the finish and performance of the socks. Some people ask me if they're made automatically by machine (I thought so at first too, haha), but it actually takes a very complicated process and many hands to make one pair of socks.
I've digressed, but Ultimate TNG makes full use of the knitting techniques we have cultivated over the 70 years since our founding, and pursues a fit that only OLENO can provide .

TNG's strength proven by actual combat
Finally, Ultimate TNG is a sock that has been commercialized after actual competition. Trail runner Hirokazu Nishimura, who cooperated with the development, wore the socks in various competitions as a test.
As a result of the verification, the TNG prototype won the 2022 UTMF, followed by the 2022 Hiei 50 Mile , which was a fantastic result.
