The manufacturing industry, which can be said to be the core of the Japanese economy, is attracting attention again, and especially in Kansai, where the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo is approaching, there is a high level of interest from the government and industry. To support this movement, Knowledge Capital will hold a new manufacturing event, "KNOWLEDGE CAPITAL OPEN FACTORY". On the day of the event, 43 companies from 10 open factory groups that are attracting attention, such as FactorISM in Osaka Prefecture, RENEW in Fukui Prefecture, and KOUBA in Niigata Prefecture, from "regionally integrated open factories" that are gaining popularity all over the country, 7 creative units that are taking on manufacturing from a new perspective such as collaboration and upcycling, and 10 Knowledge Capital participants who are practicing new manufacturing that combines technology and sensibility, will set up booths at Knowledge Plaza, for a total of 60 groups. Each group will exhibit and sell their proud "things", hold workshops, and more. In addition, there will be a talk session by representatives of creative units, a talk program where key people from the "Open Factory" will passionately discuss their efforts, and a tour of Knowledge Capital with a manufacturing theme, all of which will allow visitors to experience manufacturing through a variety of programs. This will be an event unique to Knowledge Capital, where visitors can "see, learn, make, and become a fan" together with exhibitors, building a new manufacturing network.
